A MESSAGE FROM PETER GAMMONS
I am so privileged to have been nominated by UKIP to be their candidate for Mayor of London. Below are just some of my plans to make London a better and safer place for all Londoners and for future generations.
Peter’s 6 Key Policies For a Better, Safer, London For All
POLICY 1: A SAFER LONDON
VOTE GAMMONS FOR A SAFER LONDON
- PEOPLE BEFORE POLITICS
- DEFEND NOT DEFUND THE POLICE – RECRUIT 4000 NEW OFFICERS
- TOUGH ON CRIME
- ONE LAW FOR ALL – END TWO-TEAR POLICING
- INCREASED YOUTH CENTRES & PROJECTS
- IMMEDIATE ACTION ON CLADDING
“Under Khan violent knife crime has spiraled out of control. The figures are disproportionate to all other major British cities.”
PETER ON POLICE: “Khan talks of defunding the police; I will increase numbers from the current 32,900 to over 37,000. I also want to see police teams more reflective of the community’s ethnic demographics. For example, all-white teams performing ‘stop and search’ in predominantly BAME communities just fuels those intent on stirring up anarchy and division. We must get tougher on crime and tackle the knife crime epidemic under Khan, making carrying weapons a more serious offense. I also propose the use of hand-held metal detectors (as used in airports) as a less invasive method for ‘stop and search.’ Every mother needs to realise that it is to protect her child, who otherwise could be the next victim. We must also do far more for our youth, because there is a direct correlation between the decline of youth centres and the rise in violent gang culture.”
PETER ON FIRE: “We must take immediate action to ensure that a tragedy like Glenfell Tower never happens again! The developers along with local authorities who were negligent in granting planning permission should be responsible for the costs. The leaseholders are the victims. Also, Khan’s blocking of so many roads is causing a major fire hazard, Tower Hamlets is a prime example. These roads must immediately be reopened!”
Policy 2: An Affordable London
VOTE GAMMONS FOR AN AFFORDABLE LONDON
- COUNCIL TAX FREEZE
- 100,000 NEW ONE-BED SHARED-OWNERSHIP STARTER HOMES
- PRIORITISING LONDONERS & THEIR CHILDREN
- LONDON LOTTERY
- FAIRER PROPERTY TAXES
“Despite billions in government grants, Khan has failed to provide the affordable housing he promised. As a parent and grandparent, fighting for more affordable housing is a true priority for me.”
PETER ON HOUSING: “Too many luxury homes are being built in proportion to genuinely affordable ones. I am committed to building truly affordable housing and especially to help London’s singles and young couples get on the property ladder. I am currently investigating over 100 abandoned and derelict sites across London from former military bases, offices, overgrown football grounds, to factories and warehouses.”
PETER ON COUNCIL TAX FREEZE & HIS LONDON LOTTERY: “2020 has been a rough year for most people. This is why my plan to freeze council tax is so important. I will fund it, firstly, by cutting the ridiculous waste under Khan and secondly, through my London Lottery. All of the profits will go back into the city, while making new millionaires every week. Council Tax also needs a serious review. Some billionaires living in multi-million-pound houses are paying the same as poor families. We need a fairer system. In New York, for example, the same owners pay £50,000 a year, not £2,000.”
Policy 3: An Efficient London
VOTE GAMMONS FOR AN EFFICIENT LONDON
- SCRAP CONGESTION CHARGES
- MAKE TfL FINANCIALLY VIABLE & CUT ‘FAT CAT’ SALARIES
- REMOVE HATED BYCLCE LANES
- RE-OPEN ROADS KHAN CLOSED & GET LONDON MOVING AGAIN
- UTILISE UNUSED UNDERGROUND TUNNELS FOR SAFE WALKWAYS, CYCLE LANES & THE WORLD’S FIRST CITYWIDE POD SYSTEM
- SUPPORT LONDON’S BLACK CABS
“London needs to become the world leader once more. My goal is to take it forward into the 21st century, not back to the 19th century as Khan and Bailey plan to do, where everyone walks or cycles except the rich. THE WAY FORWARDS IS NOT BACKWARDS!”
PETER ON TFL: “Khan has bankrupted TfL by gross inefficiency, foolish projects and exorbitant salaries. Some TFL staff are on £500k a year salary and over 500 on £100k+. Every day 31 million journeys are made across the network, with 1.4 billion Tube journeys and almost twice as many bus journeys a year. So, if TfL is losing money, something is very seriously wrong!”
PETER ON CYCLE LANES: “It is so hypocritical of Khan trying to force us to walk or cycle to work in the rain, while he swans around London in a £300,000 5-litre Range Rover! His policies are causing the congestion and C02 emissions, not solving them. For example, along Park Lane, he’s closed two out of three lanes to cars and taxis, adding an extra 45 minutes to many journeys. Ask any taxi driver, his bicycle lanes are hardly used. Labour and the Conservatives have abandoned the working class. Their policies favour the rich. I am the only candidate fighting for the masses of ordinary Londoners. Basically, those rich enough to buy new electric cars can get around and the rest of us are expected to walk, buy a bike or pay an exorbitant fine! IT IS VITAL YOU VOTE FOR ME IF YOU WANT THIS TO STOP.”
PETER ON UNDERGOUND POD TRANSPORT PLANS
“I was initially mocked when I first promoted my idea of using the thousands of miles of unused tunnels for walkways, cycle lanes and the world’s first citywide pod transport system. However, Musk and Branson have since demonstrated that such a ‘transport system of the future’ is possible. My project is a realistic solution to cleaning up London’s congestion.”
Policy 4: A Prosperous London
VOTE GAMMONS FOR A PROSPEROUS LONDON
- CUT THE WASTE & END THE CRONYISM AT CITY HALL
- STRONG LEADERSHIP TO ESCALATE ECONOMIC RECOVERY
- CUT RED TAPE – BUSINESS INCENTIVES
- END LOCKDOWNS & GET PEOPLE BACK TO WORK
- SUPPORT THE ENTERTAINNMENT INDUSTRY & SMALL BUSINESS
“London should be the most prosperous city of the world, not engulfed in debt and dependent on government handouts. I have so many innovative ideas to move the city forward.”
PETER ON THE BILLIONS OF WASTE AT CITY HALL & CRONYISM
“Khan must be stopped! He is wasting billions and Londoners are having to pay for it. He’s accused of wasting £10 billion at TfL alone! The corruption at City Hall stinks and must also end! He has handed over £500 million in 946 contracts without going to tender and that’s just the ones we have heard about (1). Sadly, the Tories are even worse at lining the pockets of their donors (2). If you want to STOP the corruption, you MUST STOP voting Conservative and Labour! If you want SOMETHING different, you must vote for SOMEONE different.”

Policy 5: A Greener London
VOTE GAMMONS FOR A GREENER LONDON
- PROTECT LONDON’S PARKS
- 10 NEW PARKS & GREEN SPACES
- ‘PLANT A TREE BY 23’ YOUTH INITIATIVE
- SUSTAINABLE POLICIES WHICH DO NOT PENALISE THE POOR
“London needs to move forward economically while ensuring a green and sustainable agenda for future generations.”
PETER ON PARKS: “I am passionate about protecting London’s parks. 2020 has highlighted the importance of urban green spaces to our health and wellbeing, especially as so many Londoners live in cramped conditions, without private gardens.”
PETER’S TREE PLANTING INITIATIVE: “Trees are the solution to C02 emissions and global warming. That is what inspired my ‘Plant a tree by 23’ project, bringing children from across the U.K. to plant their own tree: (1) beautify the city (2) ensure a place for London in their heart (3) getting one step closer to carbon neutrality.”
Policy 6: A United London
VOTE GAMMONS FOR A UNITED LONDON
- REPRESENTING EVERY LONDONER – IRRESPECTIVE OF RACE, GENDER, COLOUR, ORIENTATION OR RELIGION
- HEALING DIVISIONS
- DEFENDING FREEDOM OF SPEECH & RELIGION
- ‘CITIES OF REFUGE’ – A SOLUTION TO HOMELESSNESS
- PARTNERSHIP PROJECTS WITH CHARITIES & BUSINESSES
- ‘STUDENT DEVELOPMENT FUND’ TO SUBSIDISE UP TO 40% OF LONDON’S STUDENT UNIVERSITY FEES – SPONSORED BY BIG BUSINESS
“I grew up in a home where my mother voted Labour, my father voted Liberal and my brother voted Conservative. So, I came to see the best and worst of all parties – which is why, as a centrist, I am the only candidate for mayor who can represent all Londoners. I grew up on a council estate, so I understand the struggles and life of ordinary Londoners.”
“Covid has made us realise how much we need each other. So many owe their lives to those from other different communities and cultures, which is why racism, discrimination and division are so stupid! TOGETHER WE ARE STRONGER! I agreed to run as mayor because I can make a difference to so many people’s lives.”
PETER ON HOMELESSNESS: “My plans for utilizing London’s unused air raid shelters for underground ‘cities of refuge’ will not only provide shelter for all of London’s homeless, but save millions spent each year putting them up in hotels.”
